AREA STUDIES Area Studies Courses AS R101A-Z-Introduction to Social Dynamics «-10 units Lecture and/or lab hours as required by unit formula A set of courses designed to introduce the student to the historical, social, political and economic dynamics of foreign countries and regions. Courses will be arranged in a year-long sequence of variable length and units with attention to the needs of the students in programs offered in the college curriculum such as the International Business Program. Areas to be studied include: Africa, Australia, Asia: Far East, Asia: South/Southeast, Central and South America, Europe, Middle East, Pacific Rim, Soviet Union. Course may be taken four times.
